Wellsboro, Pennsylvania Ride Sept 21 - 27, 2015

It's time for our annual fall ride in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. If you're not familiar, Wellsboro, PA is a quiet town about 5 hours south of Niagara Falls. The area is known for the Pine Creek Gorge aka the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The roads are very twisty and spectacular. Riding is casual and strictly awesome.

We use Wellsboro as a home-base to explore the roads. Access to the Pine Creek Gorge and canyon roads are all within 15 minutes of town. The days are spent eating, sleeping and riding and more riding.

Most riders are sportbike riders but all bikes and riders are welcome. Normally this is how it works: we meet for breakfast about 8 am to talk about the roads we'll ride. We set off about 9 am. Depending on the number of riders that show up, we separate into a few groups and ride out. Our guide is Paul Rostic who literally knows these roads like the back of his hand. With Paul, you won't miss a single secret back road. He has skills.

We stop for the sights, we stop in to see Ed Fisher's and Bob Logue's private motorcycle collections and we stop to sample plenty of good eats. The day ends about 5:00 or 6:00 pm. Wash up, go for swim or a soak at the Canyon Motel and then off for dinner which is always walking distance. The next day we do it all over again.

Expect the group to move quickly Monday to Thursday but on Saturday and Sunday (September 26, 27) Paul tells me he's planning a slower pace for riders who want relax on the twisties.
