Walker was in the area attending an event for his charity Reach Out Worldwide @ReachOutWW with friend and driver Roger Rodas, 38. The philanthropist and racer competed in 10 Pirelli World Challenge GTS races in 2013.

A report said the red Porsche they were travelling in burst into flames after crashing into a light pole. The LA Times reported witnesses heard a loud boom and arrived at the scene with fire extinguishers but nothing could be done. The flames were 15 to 20 feet tall.

Walker was working on Fast & Furious 7 at the time of his death. Universal Pictures said in a statement: ‟All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family.”

Walker had lived an incredible life for only 40 years and leaves behind his 15 year old daughter. Rest in peace Paul Walker.

Sad and tragic news. Before he became a Fast & Furious star, I remember watching him on a ton of 80's TV shows like Who's The Boss and silly kid game shows.
