EatSleepRIDE is the next generation of motorcycling websites. It allows you to be the biker you’ve always wanted to be through telling stories, sharing routes and know-how and showing the world your favourite bikes. And because it’s a social platform, you can choose whom you want to follow and see what they are up-to in real time. EatSleepRIDE is an absolutely free website.
Your feedback is more valuable than you think. Ask a question or tell us what’s on your mind at feedback@EatSleepRIDE.com.
You can browse as much as you want, but things get way more interesting when you join in the conversation. To do that, you need to SIGN UP, which you can do by selecting this button.
To set up your profile, you’ll need to tell us the username and password you want to use. Mention what kind of bike you ride or the kind of riding you do, that will help people connect with similar interests.
Confirmation email
Once you’ve signed up, check your inbox for the confirmation email we just sent you. Sometimes, it can get marked as spam, so if you don’t see it, please check your junk folder. If that doesn’t work, please email us at feedback@EatSleepRIDE.com and we’ll sort it out for you.
Most of the feeds in EatSleepRIDE are customized for you. How, you may ask? Good question. We match the words you use in your EatSleepRIDE profile description. For example, the For You tab is a mixture of content from your people you follow, groups you’ve joined, and people with the same motorbike(s) as you.
In addition, we (and only we) will send you emails from time to time notifying you of activity on the site you may be interested in. We take your privacy very seriously, for more on this read the EatSleepRIDE Privacy Policy.
You can manage your profile at any time by clicking your username or avatar image on the main page, or by selecting My profile from the menu at the top right.
Edit your profile
The Edit Profile allows you to change the public aspects of your profile.
You can also change your current profile picture on this page or start off with one of ours. And just as no one leaves their motorcycle absolutely stock, this is the first thing you’ll want to change.
Notification settings
We (and only we) might email you from time to time. Here’s where you can control that. You can use the check marks to decide what emails will be sent to your Inbox.
Change password
Maybe you don’t see the need for this, but some of you might be paranoid. If you do want to change your password, you can do so by clicking the Change Password tab. Enter your old password (so we know it’s you) and then enter your new password twice (so we can catch mistakes), save and you’re good to go.
Sometimes, you see something you want to save for later. Sure, you could hit Command-d and bookmark it, but we’ve also implemented an EatSleepRIDE site wide bookmarking tool called + My garage. Save all your favourite content in one place for easy RE-USE or reference.
You can share different types of stories on EatSleepRIDE, so feel free to dive right in using the +ADD button.
Pretty much everything needs a title, which is usually the way people will decide if they want to read it, so make it a good one.
Once you’re done telling your story, hit POST to share it with the community.
Depending on the story type, we ask for some additional information. You’ll get the hang of it quickly. We’ve tried to make it obvious and friendly when it’s not what we expected. Feel free to drop us a line at feedback@EatSleepRIDE.com and let us know what we could do better.
(Re)Using what’s there
We’re a community. Just like my neighbor doesn’t mind me borrowing his wrenches from time to time (even though I’ve no idea what they are for) feel free to RE-USE the content on the site.
If you’re logged in, you’ll see a RE-USE icon by just about anything. Click it to start a new POST and we’ll automagically embed the story for you. Once it’s saved, everyone will see the original as part of your post. Think of it this way: You found the most awesome route on the EatSleepRIDE and you want to let your buddies know how great it was. Just RE-USE icon the Route and add your experiences, images and videos.
Discover content to RE-USE
When creating a story you can use the right hand tabs to find images, videos, routes or any other type of content to RE-USE.
The GALLERY tab shows you the most recently added images to the platform.
MY GARAGE will show you all the stories you’ve saved on the platform because you wanted to remember them.
MY STUFF shows you all of your posts starting with the most recent.
And the SEARCH bar makes it easy to search for something specific for RE-USE.
You’ll get more out of the platform when you follow some people or news sources. Limit yourself to just your closest friends or +Follow the best story tellers. You decide.
To find people to follow select the INVITE + EXPLORE button browse through the available users, if you see one you like select the +Follow button. Now when a new STORY is added on EatSleepRIDE you’ll see it in the For You tab on your Homepage.
Groups are a way to organize conversations around an event or topic. To find a group, select the INVITE + EXPLORE button and then the FIND GROUPS tab to browse through the available groups.
If you see one you like, select the JOIN button.
Once you join a group, you can POST comments to that group.
To create a new group, select +ADD Group.
Create a group that anyone on EatSleepRIDE can join. Add your title, enter your group description, and select a location, or add a website link, a picture or a video, and choose an image. Select POST to create your group.
You can also create or manage your group by selecting GROUPS in your profile view.
Your feedback is more valuable than you think. Ask a question or tell us what’s on your mind at feedback@EatSleepRIDE.com.
Enjoy the ride! Eat Sleep RIDE.
