From Willits to Leggett to Fort Bragg Via US-101 and CA-1

This motorcycle loop in Northern California is often compared to the Tail of the Dragon for the challenging curves and scenic vistas it offers. The road, full of twisties, makes its way through dense forests, imposing Redwood trees, mountains and creeks; and the ocean views along the Hwy 1 portion of the route are just amazing.

Start your ride in Willits and head north onto US-101 until you get to the town of Legget, located on the South Fork of the Eel River; and then continue southbound onto CA-1 along the coast. When you get to Fort Bragg, take Hwy 20 east through the Jackson State Forest and towards Willits, where you’ll find the end of the route.
