Only 30 miles north of San Francisco, the motorcycle route along California’s north coast features a nice mixture of great curves and breathtaking ocean views.
The ride along Cali's coastline starts in Bodega Bay on Highway 1; from there just head north until the road merges with Highway 101, and continue towards Eureka. You’ll pass by many scenic rest areas (such as the Bodega Dunes Campground in Sonoma Coast State Park), and the National Historic Landmark Fort Ross, a former hub of the southernmost Russian settlements in the US between 1812 to 1842.

The road is in good condition and it’s best enjoyed in Spring time; during summer, roads can get foggy in the morning.
