Arch Motorcycle Company is the Brainchild of Actor/Filmmaker Keanu Reeves and Designer/Engineer/Fabricator Gard Hollinger. The goal was to make a custom motorcycle focusing on rideability, power and stability. After five years of collaboration the dream came to life with their first prototype the KR GT-1.
Keanu Reeves' accomplishments need little explanation. So why create a new motorcycle company? Reeves has enjoyed riding motorcycles for more than 25 years, he's even known to ride daily whether rain or shine. When on set filming away from home, he would buy a local motorcycle to ride then sell after he was done with filming. He currently owns a variety of Norton Commandos and has ridden many different marques in his riding lifetime, along with the 2005 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide, the basis to the Arch KR GT-1.
Co-founder Gard Hollinger is a self-taught designer, engineer and fabricator. He owns LA County Choprods --a custom shop and parts business. His work can be seen in a variety of media, including a chapter in The Art of the Chopper II and television shows such as Speed TV's Build Off, Discovery's Biker Build Off, ESPN's Chopper Nation and the UK series All The Gear, No Idea. Hollinger has the pleasure to be the first custom builder to be featured in an American Express commercial. With all his experience, he looks to please the public creating performance focused motorcycles.
The first prototype, a five year design project, the KR GT-1 is currently in its final design chapter. The company hopes to have a fully realized production version starting in 2013. Plans for production numbers will be limited, making ownership a unique and coveted experience. For more information on Arch Motorcycle Company see: www.archmotorcycle.com
