@VRSCDX It definitely clear things up for me.  Sometimes my phone is in jean pocket or backpack.  I didn't realize the phone remaining vertical was critical.  I have a tight inside pocket in my riding jacket.  Going for a test ride now...Thanks!!!

@SunGawd let me start over I think I made it more confusing than it really is. When you start your ride you are assuming your phone is in a vertical position that would be 0° then in your pocket with the screen facing you not away, max lean would be the lean angle when you are turning right, and the min lean angle would be when you were turning left. Left would have a minus sign right would not. The highest lean angle achievable would be -90 or 90 either side as you skate down the road on the side of the bike. OK that was funny just not that funny 😉 here is a little trick to understand it better. Hold your phone in front of you in the vertical position record a ride. you only need about 10 seconds of ride. as you are recording, lean your phone to the right about 45° then back to zero and stop the ride, and save the ride. Now opened your saved ride and look at the lean angle, you will have something close to zero and something close to 45°. I hope this explains it much more clearly than when I stick my foot in my mouth. Safe ride 🙂

@VRSCDX I appreciate your time.  I'm guessing from your last response, the lean is based on 90-degree vertical axis.  So, if my Max Lean is at 68; in reality it must be a 22-degree lean.

I thank you again, as I strive to become a skillful cornerer!!!

Yup I goofed minimum and maximum are arbitrary names for the lean angle. I spoke a bit too soon. Minimum should be left lean angle maximum should be right lean angle

Hold on I could be wrong might be right lean, left lean I'm looking into it

@sungawdMin lean would be your starting point (you on the bike vertical when you start out at 0°) max lean is your farthest over to one side lean angle (your iPhone vertical in your pocket as you lean the bike over on one side in a turn) if the iPhone stays vertical in your pocket, then that little picture of the motorcycle is you riding down the road 🙂
