Quick Tip On Packing

There are lots of options when it comes to luggage for your motorbike, or just EDC (every day carry). And, depending on the weather, you may chop and change bags and carry options from day to day.

One tip I thought I might share is in the use of small cases.

These might be pencil cases, or branded gear cases you sometimes get when you buy tech. You can usually pick up a few cheap pencil cases from a discount store in various colours and use them for housing different levels of items.

For example, a Red Case might mean that's where you house your tech spares (USB or SD Memory cards, and a phone charging lead). A Blue Case is for basic hygiene items (hand sanitiser, chapstick, tissues). A Green Case is a simple tool kit (small screwdrivers, electrical tape, zip ties).

I've found that, using this method, I can quickly ensure I've packed the right gear into a bag and left nothing behind. While, at the same time, remove gear that won't be needed on a trip.

By having a 'theme' for each case, you'll also more easily locate that small item that would normally be buried at the bottom of a pack.

I also use an iPhone App "AnyList" but i'm sure any list App will do (pun intended). you can keep a favorites list for quick list fill, and as you pack your stuff you can cross it off as packed. then when on the road you can add the stuff you forgot to take to the favorites list for next time. like maybe road side toilet paper ๐Ÿ˜‰
