New Ducati Models to Debut at Australian Motorcycle Expo

Ducati 848 Evo Corse New Ducati Models to Debut at Australian Motorcycle
Expo

With the hype surrounding the unveiling of Ducati's new range of motorcycles for 2013, Ducati Australia & NZ are pleased to be presenting two new 2013 motorcycles direct from EICMA, Milan at their stand (#504) during this year's Australian Motorcycle Expo in Melbourne; the 848EVO Corse Special Edition and the Multistrada 1200 S Touring with Skyhook Suspension.

In addition Ducati will be featuring the 1199 Panigale S Tricolore - a celebration of excellence and proud symbol of ‟Made in Borgo Panigale”.

Along with an impressive display of the entire Ducati range, Ducati Australia & NZ will showcase the latest line of Genuine Ducati Apparel to complement the perfect ride. Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to WIN Genuine Ducati Apparel valued at $1000 RRP.

Carl Cox, renowned DJ and producer will be making a guest appearance at the Ducati stand on Friday 23rd November. Carl will be spinning some of his hit tracks to create a fun and vibrant place to hang out on a Friday afternoon.

Ducati's stand created by Melbourne based company Earl Brand Space will be seen by Melbourne visitors for the first time. The new display was designed to provide maximum interaction between our visitors, bikes and Ducati staff.

2013 Ducati 848EVO Corse Special Edition

Dressed in the new official Ducati Corse Test Team livery of matte black and matte grey, the 848EVO Corse Special Edition takes the already exciting 848EVO and adds racing instinct with outright style and enhanced performance. The new, lightweight aluminium fuel tank is formed in 2mm thick material and reduces the model's overall dry weight by 1kg to 167kg which in turn also increases the fuel capacity by 2.5 litres to 18 litres. Equipped with full 8-level Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) system (identical concepts as the 1199 Panigale), the Corse Special Edition raises its game even further on the road or race track.

Combine the enhanced electronic package with the superior feel of fully adjustable Ohlins rear suspension and 330mm front brake discs and it's clear the brand new model deserves its 'Special Edition' status. The 848EVO Corse Special Edition's new livery is set against a red Trellis frame and black wheels and like the entire Ducati range, comes with 2 years Unlimited Kilometre Warranty and complimentary 2 Years Roadside Assistance.

2013 Multistrada 1200 S Touring (DSS)

The new Multistrada 1200 S Touring expresses the Multistrada philosophy to perfection thanks to the new Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) which actively responds to the challenges thrown up by the terrain. The innovative new technology features semi-active suspension management that constantly re- adjusts the damping of the 48mm Sachs front forks and single rear shock to maintain optimum vehicle composure as if the bike was suspended from the sky.

The second generation Testastretta 11o DS (Dual Spark) engine increases torque to 12.7kgm and overall mid-range power delivery and rideability. Additional features come standard include: Ducati Safety Pack of Ducati Traction Control (DTC), ABS, Ride-by-wire Throttle, Hands-Free ignition and new LED headlight design. The 4 riding modes continue to make it easy to change from Sport to Touring to Urban to Enduro with a click of a button.
