The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is a toll road but it's worth the $50 (€34.50) fee. Completed in 1935, this 48km Austrian road from Fusch to Heligenblut takes you to a height of 2,504 metres and offers incredible views, challenging corners, terrific tarmac and relatively little traffic.
