Kingston Butter Factory

scenic/reststop 23 Milky Way, Kingston, Queensland, Australia

The Kingston Butter Factory was originally a timber structure, built in 1907. Now it stands as a community arts center after the Logan City Council re-purposed the (now brick) building in Australia's bicentennial year, 1988.

The building stands on council land that is very well maintained, making the site perfect for photos of your beloved bike.

A very scenic driveway in.

A very scenic driveway in.

Unfortunately the caretaker seems to be very particular as to who is allowed to take photos there, and his (fenced) dog doesn't seem to like motorbikes, barking non-stop whenever my 675cc, three cylinder engine was running.

If you're intending to use the photos for any promotional material, you may be asked to leave. I was using a small point-and-shoot camera, so the caretaker didn't seem too worried, having a brief discussion about my bike, and a Ducati that was there the previous day.

The best time to visit (for a sly photo session) is definitely in the late afternoon.
