The ride home

150 Young St, Williams, United States

22 mile ride home along the Delaware river at 22 degrees (not counting air temp due to water) with no heated gear... Got to love working seconds during winter!

@macdracer I wear Bates jump boots when I ride unless I think it will rain. Then I wear my Carolina steel toe boots because they are water proof. I wear Freeze Out thermal under pants and under shirt. You can get them at cycle gear. I have a Harley hoodie and a Wilson biker leather jacket. I wear a Freeze Out balaclava and either a ski mask I roll up and wear as a hat or when it gets real cold I wear one of those Russian hats from Mad Bomber. When it's in the 50s I'll wear Freeze Out glove liners and my Thinsulate 40g gauntlet gloves. Colder than that I now use my battery operated glove liners from venture. I just got them and man it's nice not having sore hands when it's cold.

Good on you for keeping it going through the colder months. What amount of gear are you using through the winter? I realized last time out near 40 it's time for glove liners.
