Ducati Australia Announces 2013 Sharper Pricing

Ducati Australia has  confirmed the 2013 model line-up and pricing which shows some small reductions for the revised Multistrada 1200 range.

Headlining the new models for 2013 is the highly anticipated 1199 Panigale R ABS at $42,990 representing the pinnacle of Superbike technology and performance and joins its younger sporty counterpart, the 848EVO Corse Special Edition with Ducati Official Test Team livery at a very attractive and modest $21,490.

The all new Hyperstrada - Hypermotard family with its 821cc / 110hp engine features 3 models; the Hyperstrada at $17,990 with detachable touring luggage as standard and will be available in two suspension versions, normal with 850mm seat height and low with 810mm seat height.

Hyperstrada offers a very attractively priced and versatile cross over between the Hypermotard and Multistrada - hence the model name. The Hypermotard enters the market extremely well priced at $16,990, while for the more sporty- performance orientated rider, the Hypermotard SP at $20,490. These 3 new models also benefit from the latest extension of Ducati Desmo servicing, with 30,000km between intervals.

The new Diavel Strada with more touring orientated comfort and ergonomics features larger screen, improved seat designs, passenger backrest, heated grips and detachable luggage all as standard for $26,990 and sits alongside the new Diavel Stripes, also at $26,990.

Also joining the line-up for 2013 is the 20th Anniversary Monsters which are available for an additional $500 to the standard versions; Monster 696 ABS 20th Anniversary $14,490, Monster 796 ABS 20th Anniversary $16,490 and of course the Monster 1100 Evo ABS 20th Anniversary priced at $18,490.

The Monster DIESEL edition continues to be available in 2013 at $19,990, designed by Diesel founder Renzo Rosso and dubbed 'urban military chic' for those looking for something really unique or fans of both the Ducati and Diesel brands.

Multistrada 1200, the 4-bikes-in-1 concept, receives the benefit of both significant evolutionary improvements and very excitedly, an even more attractive price. All models feature the new Dual Spark (DS) engine with increased torque and incredible low-down driveability and smoothness, a higher and wider screen that can be adjusted with one hand while riding and new improved seats for even more comfort.  You can check out all the enhancements by reading Ducati Pushes Motorcycle Tech Forward Again with 2013 Multistrada

The 1200 S Touring, 1200 S Pikes Peak and new 1200 S Granturismo also feature the new Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) which expresses the Multistrada philosophy to perfection. DSS continuously monitors the vehicle position and adjusts the suspension instantly to suit road conditions delivering optimum suspension performance, comfort and safety. While boasting all these significant upgrades, Multistrada customers additional will enjoy a $500 decrease with new 2013 pricing.

Multistrada 1200 ABS now priced at an extremely attractive $22,990, 1200 S Touring also with side luggage and heated grips as standard $28,490, the new 1200 S Granturismo with additional 48lt rear top case luggage capacity, LED spot lights, protection bars and higher screen for $30,490 and finally the 1200 S Pikes Peak at $31,990 with special carbon fibre components and additional Termignoni sport muffler.

The 2013 848EVO Corse Special Edition, Multistrada 1200 S Touring and Monster Diesel Edition were recently displayed at the Australian Motorcycle Expo, Melbourne.

Ducati Australia are currently running out some 2012 Ducati Multistrada 1200 models.  With the reduced pricing for the new models, the savings on the older bikes reduces to $1,500.  Thanks to reader Moronic for pointing this out.
