Africa Twin Adventure (2016)

Well it's 2016 now, so this is it. The release of the Africa Twin Adventure looms large. I have been patiently waiting to see it up close and in person, and not just the PIX and Spec's that have leaked out slowly all last year.

I started to believe this could be the one for me. (Now in 2021 I know it is!)

I sometimes adopt new Tech, or in this case a new Bike to soon. some things just need more time to work all the bugs out, and this could be the case here too. When the feedback, and dislikes get back to Honda later this year, upgrades and improvements of the non-retrofitted variety are sure to follow, leaving us early adopters in the dirt. Ok bad pun…….

So far there is a lot to love about this bike, but some possible deal breakers are in the mix too. Like…….

(1) Tubes in the tires (this changes my tool kit big time)

(2) 5 gal fuel tank (not 7 or a 2 tank option)

(3) chain drive (not shaft)
