New Addition to the Family

Ab, Canada

After much thought and some insightful test rides I've finally replaced my old KLX. I really wanted a KTM 450 or 530 EXC but couldn't really justify it, I thought long and hard about the KTM 690R Enduro (love that bike) and spent many hours on a perfectly set up DRZ400, however in the end I went with a 2013 Yamaha WR250R.

It's sitting in my garage now and although I've had it for less than 24 hours, I'm already loving it. It's nicely set up with LEDs all around, bash plates, folding mirrors, barkbusters, a Seat Concepts saddle, Wolfman pannier racks, an alloy luggage rack, big YZ pegs and much more. It even came with a new in the box 3 gallon IMS tank.

It has 7400km and a full maintenance history, so it seems like it's been well taken care of.

I love the small bike ethos and will keep my Dakar for heavier duty work, but I think this will fit the bill nicely. Now just need to find more time to ride it!

@Alex @Marina @Nick thanks for the insight, it'll be waiting here for you next time you're in town. Cheers.

@nick303 - have to agree. The WR is a fine machine, and if they are the plastics, it's been well looked after (or replaced). Either way, I do want to come ride out with you this year. it's just a matter of when.

Congrats @Jordan - the WR is great choice and it sounds like a good buy! Look forward to those mountain ride updates once the snow clears!
