International Female Ride Day – May 7th, 2016
Canada
This past May 7th marked the 10th annual International Female Ride Day (“IFRD”). The ride takes place on the first Saturday in May and each year throughout Canada, Africa, India, USA, Greece, Italy and many more places women get on their bikes and “Just Ride.”
IFRD was created in 2006 by Canadian motorcycle enthusiast, instructor and rider, Vicki Gray. The idea behind the ride is to highlight and celebrate women riders from all over the world irrespective of the style, form or even the type of bike they rode. Since its inception the ride has picked up momentum and the number of female riders celebrating this day has grown from merely a few to over a thousand.
We wanted to highlight some of these brilliant ladies and come together in celebrating their passion for motorcycling.
