Suzuki Intruder 1500 (1998) - Brick red & tan (ugly, faded colors. Supposed to be maroon and cream white) Belle Chasse, Louisiana, United States

A work in progress, she was left out in the Texas sun and neglected. Slowly but surely, I've been fixing her up, and have plans for custom paint, radio fairing, hard bags with speakers, and some custom fab work on the rear fender where I'll be making an led tail/brake light.

@Casey You have to sand the pipes, so at least wrapping would be reversible. Can't undo sanding.

I am glad I read your post about the VHT paint. I was going to do that to mine but not now. I may just wrap my pipes. I have a carbon fiber muffler so I can't powder coat the pipes cause you have to bake the powder coat and it could ruin my muffler

A couple weekends ago I took the exhaust off, sanded, painted with VHT black. That didn't last a day before it started chipping and fading in some spots. I followed all directions and used prep spray, primer, black, and satin clear. It looks better now than it did, though. Good thing it's just temporary until I can get it powdercoated
