Taking my bike to his new home

Since paying to ship out bikes two hours down the road, we thought we could drive them down and save some money. Sunday morning before I was to report to work (Tuesday) we jumped on both bikes and heading from Ottawa to Kingston. Since I do not overly like the highways, we took all the secondary roads and enjoyed the ride.

Beautiful views along the water (St. Lawrence). A nice breeze and just an overly great day for a ride. The overall ride took us a little longer than if you would take the 401 but I think the views made up for that.

Safely arrived in Kingston, we headed to the Pilot House for some lunch (great fish and chips - and from an east-coaster that saying something) Then to the house where I tucked my bike in the garage and jumped on the back of my husbands and we hit the 401 to head home (Ottawa). I didn't mind being on the highway on the back of his bike, I got to feel the wind and speed and I think it helped me get over some of the ideas of what highway driving was. I must admit it really helps having a driver you totally trust.
