@marina...nope a myth. Your right as it is paved up to the top, Radisson. That is straight up, but I like to go left and right sometimes. If you want to visit the villages by the bay you will hit dirt roads. They seem easy at first but don't let your guard down they can be slippery. One native described it as "riding on marbles".

Hey @Daishonin off road tires? Isn't the road entirely paved?

What a ride! To answer your question we slept in a tent when possible and a motel room here and there to freshen up.  Gas is an issue for smaller bikes which is why we carried 3 extra gas cans. My 650 Versys could make it between gas stations but I didn't chance it.  My top speed was 138 due to the fact the bike was over loaded big time and my buddy was riding a 250!  My tires are finished too.  I would say the best part of the trip was meeting the folks of Waskaganish. Highly recommended road trip with off road 70-30 tires...

Only a few have ridden this road! How was it? Where did you sleep? Where did you get gas? How fast did you go? 🙂
