places where you feel good spending your hard earned motorcycle money

i am all over the place with my job and i drop into bike shops everywhere both for work and for pleasure. i would love to hear form people as to which shops they favor the most for spending their hard earned money at. what makes it a great place? the service? for me service is the key. i also like to be able to speak with the guys or gals who work there freely and easily. i also hate cluttered dirty shithole shops. it doesnt have to be like a center for the OCD club or anything but it has to be clean and neat and tidy or i am out of there. i will look past orderly if the stuff is good but i just dont see how places with oil soaked crap all over the floor still exist.

i really like shops like Town Moto, really friendly knowledgable staff, interesting stuff and cool customers. i cant stand tough guy attitudes and if i get any of that i am out of there again. i work hard for my money and i will not be looked down on or be given any attitude by someone whose business i am frequenting. i dont bother to say anything to them i just leave and never go back. no point in giving them any press though i just want to deal with the good ones. the positive stuff.

let me know.

Alex I wish I had been into Parker Bros but I haven't. Now I won't have an opportunity. What about that shop was special? What did they do? Parts, accessories, apparrel? Where were they located? Why did they close?

Exactly James but you should feel welcome. You should feel comfortable. You should be made welcome. They don't need to invite you for a sleep over but the days where some gruff asshole whop thinks that he is the be all and end all of motorcycles has to be over. We may have differing styles but if we both ride we have a giant thing in common.

I get where you are coming from, I also hate 'cluttered dirty shithole shops' 🙂 Friendly and knowledgeable is one thing but when shopping I like to be left alone until I need someone to ask questions.

I miss Parker Bros. Dave, Chris and the guys were all so cool. These days, it's mostly GP Bikes I go to. Nice people (for the most part) but a bit pricey and soooo far from downtown where I live.
