I'm considering purchasing a 1982 Honda V45 Sabre. Carnage kept has not been risen in 20 years. It's in good shape, minor blemishes. One owner, 12,000 total miles. It will be a project bike, I am mechanically inclined (aircraft maintenance tech for over 20 years), new into the biker world.

Would this be a decent bike to overhaul, or is it not worth the time/energy?

@zyonsdream  Hey, I appreciate your thoughts.  I gave it a thorough look over and decided to pass on it.  I just don't think I'm in the rebuild mood right now.  It would take a lot of work.  I'd prefer to ride than wrench right now.

As long as you can find the parts to rebuild the engine. After 20 years sitting the seals and gaskets are shot as I'm sure you know. Plastics should still be around for sale but I wouldn't go over $500 to buy it. As for worth it to restore, that's personal choice. If you like 80's bikes then it's worth it. I've got a 1980 kz440 but it looks nothing like stock.
