Bantam D1
BSA D1 (1949) Toronto, Canada
This 1949 BSA Bantam D1 was re-built or rather re-created by Peter Arsenault. I met up with Peter at the Toronto Motorcycle and Tattoo Show today. Peter found the original frame in a steel shed north of Toronto, while out hunting for old Harleys, and purchased it for $450. The motor was seized, it had ape hangers and a banana seat. The bike was a mess.

Peter rebuilt the Bantam from a series of photos he found in a book. The 1949 BSA Bantam, pictured here, was the first model of its kind ever built. More info can be found on Wikipedia
