Larry/ MPC 2016-today's ride

today was a quick ride, about 52 miles round trip, to the Nicasio reservoir. What was noteworthy was me riding my son's Ducati Monster 1200, circa ~2009 or so. I'm temporarily storing it for him, and I feel its my duty to take it out periodically to keep it in tip-top shape! This bike has about 125 horsepower for about 450 lbs, as opposed to my Harley Switchback which has about 100 horsepower for 720 lbs. The difference is dramatic, and I had to be careful not to crack the throttle too much for fear of lifting the front wheel. Powerful brakes, decent suspension, but a little too far forward position for me for extended rides. But for a brief jaunt into the country, a blast!

the first MPC 2016 challenge is coming to a close soon, so lets enjoy it while we can!
