Sadly I think I may have to repeat the process again this weekend, guess that used shock wasn't such a bargain after all...

Looks like a major job, but maybe not from what you are saying. I'm sure with my shaftie, it's a tougher prospect. Good job I don't need to go there just yet

Not much, I bought a used shock on-line and put it in. It was a bit of a pain to take everything apart, but not at all difficult. Putting it back together was easier, and no left over parts!

Yaw, just curious, what resources are you using to rebuild the rear suspension?

Spent much of Saturday afternoon working on the bike. Thankfully there were no left over parts when it was all put back together.
