Larry's Open Road West ride
Mill Valley, California, United States
the Open Road West HOG rally started on Friday, sept. 9. Myself and a group of fellow Golden Gate HOG members proceeded to Santa Fe, leaving San Francisco on Sept 5.
We rode first to Barstow, and then onto Flagstaff-already the riding was getting good!

The Jemez trail went from red rock canyons to mountain pines, looping back to Santa Fe via Los Alamos. Views at almost every turn!

yes, it was spectacular country. some of the views of the valleys reminded me of the Shire (from Lord of the Rings) seen from a distance. almost too beautiful to be true.
@zyonsdream
that's a shame. my group does 100-200 mile rides almost every weekend during the riding season, sometimes 2 a weekend. And they are all good to really great rides!
Good ride, Larry! That's some beautiful country! Million Dollar Highway / San Juan Mountains are amazing! That was my favorite part of my CO tour!
