The SyncRIDE is a week of short moto-doc videos where seven riders take us along on their routes. The inspiring videos lead up to the SyncRIDE event Saturday May 27th, 2017.
For the Tuesday ride EatSleepRIDE and cinematographer Eric Ristau had the thrill of riding alongside Erik Buell and his 1190SX Superbike on a scenic road outside of Troy, WI.
Erik Buell's Motorcycle Route
"The route I picked is one I really enjoyed riding. It represents a lot of what I like to get out of a half day 'get-away-and-clear-my-head' ride.
Very early in the ride the road goes to some pretty technical sections that get me 100% focused on riding and feeling at one with the bike. I like to do that because it really breaks me out of the chain of everyday business thinking.
Once there, it goes to an interesting mix of Wisconsin country side - past lakes, streams, and lots of rolling farmland, as well as a few more technical parts. I love seeing all the working farms and remembering the roots of Wisconsin’s hard working people.
In the middle of the route is Horicon, right beside the Horicon Marsh, a wildlife refuge park. I like to get off, put on trail hiking shoes and walk/jog through the area.
Then back on the bike for more farmland and lakes, finishing off with some more technical stuff to remind me of why riding a motorcycle is so much fun, and energize me to get back to work in a refreshed and positive state of mind! Hope you get to ride here sometime!" - Erik Buell
