BMW Perfection

At Lake Como, Italy, yesterday, BMW showed that they know history and how to make it relevant again. It's the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad and the 40th anniversary of the fabulous R90S, the first production bike to come with a front fairing.'

To celebrate this, BMW teamed up with custom builder Roland Sands to pay homage to the 1973 boxer. The concept 90 features handmade aluminum bodywork that manages to capture the lines of the original wonderfully.

Retro looks are offset with modern touches, such as LED lights and milled engine casings contrast cut into a black boxer engine. It positively screams speed, raw power and coolness to all who straddle it.

There's no indicication on performance figures, price or even if it will be produced, but that's why it's a concept. I'm sure if we all scream loudly enough about this, BMW might actually make it. I for one, would be seriously interested
