DVP: Don Valley Parkway turns into a flooded mess

The sun broke today after days of rain in and around Canada's largest city. The Don Valley Parkway aka 'the DVP' is a critical roadway which reaches out to some of the best motorcycle roads north of the city. Without it - car or bike - don't even bother trying to get in and out of the metropolis. Overnight 6 inches or rain left a gift of about 3.5 feet or 1 metre or flooding! The city will be quiet today.

All the other highways are obviously choked leading in and out of the city but for if you're looking to do some city riding today, it's a good day to do it. Traffic is unprecedentedly quiet and the streets are empty!

Apparently, someone in a minivan thought he could get through a metre of water. The van just billowed steam and it's driver ended up turning around and going up the wrong way to exit the parkway.

Once the water clears, check out one of the best GTA motorcycle roads worth getting out of town for.
