Motorcycle concept renderings are the antithesis of motorcycle-porn. The freedom allowed by the lack of financial and production restraints leaves the designer at liberty to come up with some profoundly creative and original concept bikes.

With the current popularity of motorcycle photos on online-platforms like Instagram and Tumblr, it's easy to see how two of the internet's most seasoned and talented moto-concept designers have developed quite the international following. Nicolas Petit and Oberdan "Obiboi" Bezzi both have extensive portfolios and have done everything from original concept designs to paint jobs on existing models and everything in between. Both artists are also known for creating concepts that could actually run and be ridden (if/when built), often times incorperating existing production engines into their concept's design. On many occasions Nicolas and Obiboi have been hired by reputable companies in the motorcycle industry to design custom bikes that were actually built.

Oberdan has been sketching motorcycles for several decades and has had an immense passion for them for even longer. Having grown up in Italy in the 60's and 70's has had a clear and substantial effect on his stylistic influences which are easily recognizable in his work. While Obiboi has created dozens of original designs, the majority of his concepts are imaginatively altered renderings of already existing models from a wide range of eras, as well as bolt-on-kits to transform existing production machines. He's also well known for sketching bikes that borrow design elements from established automotive companies that don't manufacturer motorcycles such as Mercedes Benz, Buggati and Audi. Nicolas Petit

Sophisticated and futuristic concepts are what Nicolas Petit built his name and reputation upon. Being raised in France during the age of the internet, modern sci-fi movies and constantly improving CG helped to shape Nicolas' style, many of his space-age looking two-wheelers have pushed the boundaries of today's motorcycle design. Another proven skill Petit has honed is his ability to take production motorcycles, strip away everything down to just the engine, and then use that engine to power a new motorcycle from a different class/category of bikes. Below is a video from Petit's website demonstrating the aforementioned process. You can also check out his website by Clicking here.
