Ducati 900 SS Desmo Blue Fantasy

The Ducati Desmo 900SS is iconic and hard to find looking so good. This Roundcase super sport bike was manufactured between 1978 and 1981. I came across a picture online and was inspired to collect my favorites here.

The 900SS wasn't cosmetically perfect I'm told, but maybe that's why I like it so much. Imperfect beauty of design and construction. I absolutely love the look of this bike. The wind screen, the Imola fuel tank and the seat. Spoke wheels are beautiful as well.

Apparently a refurbished 1977 Ducati 900SS can go for as much as $45,000 US. I found it pictured for sale for $16,500 US from http://www.michaelsmotorcycles.com/ - it may be gone now, but they have a number of beautiful bikes to feast the eyes on.
