In a 2016 survey on the most unreliable motor cycle companies , it was shown as.

Can- am -- 60% failure BMW -- 42% failure Ducati --- 36% failure Triump --- 28% failure Harley -- 22% failure.

With BMW and Harley with high recuring cost.

Ducati with parts coming loose.

But the the customers of Harley and BMW said they enjoyed the ownership experience even after all these issues , claiming a honest fan following πŸ˜€.

Guys don't kill me .

Not a single Japanese company was in this list , it was article on top 5 most unreliable motorcycle companies.

My Harley is EXTREEMLY reliable, a flawless motor & design...oh, wait...the engine was designed by Porsche...!! I guess the number 1 HD in Europe doesn't qualify for THIS list...!!! LOL...but my second motorcycle will be a Ducati, so I will legitimately be able to make this list...!! Thank God I work on my own...

I'm not sure how much more reliable my on-European bikes are than my European ones. I suspect they are about the same. The difference is that I did a lot of my own work on my European bike due to it's simplicity but not as much on my European due to being more complex.

Also, when I part on my non-European bike broke, it was a relatively inexpensive fix. My BMW no so much which is why I opted for 5 years of warranty coverage.
