Motorcycle Stunt Riding - Everything Mom Said Not To Do

If you thought that the so-called sport of street stunt riding is made up of uncultured sociopaths destroying the sacred history of motorcycling, you're not alone. Modern motorcycle stunt riding can be traced back to Brit Gary Rothwell who, in the 1990s, was basically responsible for the current love affair with wheelies, stoppies and burnouts.

Now stunt riding is evolving into a competitive sport, led by the XDL Championship series. In this video, competitive riders talk about the developing sport. Top riders like Apex, Chris McNeil, Dixon, Colton, and more reveal what drives them to push harder each year and keep evolving and pushing what is possible on two wheels.

The XDL Championship series is a top stunt riding championship that attracts competitors from the U.S., Asia and Europe. Starting out in 2006 with 3 events, in 2012 XDL ran a 5-event schedule. No events have been listed for 2013.
