Broke my foot on a low-speed high-side. Anyone recommend good boot for dual sport riding?

I used the Sidi Discovery, but the Sidi Adventure is new, better, higher spec and more expensive model. I hear it is excellent but expensive.

Wow. Thanks for the detail explanation. Sucks. I broke my foot once. Bikram yoga really helped by getting blood circulating to the fracture. Happy healing!

Edit: Sidi Discovery or Adventure? I've heard both names, I'll have to compare differences.

Re: what it felt like, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. As for the accident, it happened fast. Right hand banked corner in 1st gear on some loose dirt. A blip of throttle and the front end got weird - I must have been in the transition between "steer" and "lean" dynamics. The front wheel dug in, and high-sided me slow enough that I wasn't tossed, my foot was caught underneath. My toes were bent up towards my shin before my momentum carried me out from underneath the bike (Mia). When picking her up afterward it felt like something was popping on top of my foot. This sensation happened whenever I put weight on the ball of my foot. Hopefully that covers your question. As for the boots, the Sidi Adventure sound good. I was thinking about the Gaerne Balance, but they look to be devoid of ankle protection.

I wore Sidi Discovery boots on my 48,000km trip through South America, they were very comfy with lots of protection, but NOT at all water proof. I wrote a review of my dual sport gear here: http://eatsleepride.com/c/9768/adventure_gear_review I'm now wearing BMW Santiago boots, so far I'm very happy with them.

Sorry to hear about your high-side. What did it feel like? About boots... @Jordan what boots did you wear on your South America trip? Do you recommend them?
