loudbike TT1
Ducati TT1 Replica (1985) - Red
Over the years I've found that the only TT1 frame that works with 17” slicks is the final series Verlicchi large diameter, thin wall. My friend Fran has a couple as does Bruce Meyers and Fran's is the only bike I ever won a race on. Back in the day, Reno Leoni had his brother-in-law (DM Frames) make a copy and they have modified the jig to allow for the use of a big block motor.
The specs are:
-
DM TT1 Frame
-
Mavic mag 3-spokes with floating 280mm Brembos and P3034 calipers with authentic Brembo racing adapters
-
Brembo 996 series pumps
-
Marzocchi M1R forks substantially modified by Lindeman engineering back in the day (they work like no M1R I've ever experienced)
-
Authentic 195mm triple clamps
-
TZ replica throttle
-
Scitsu tacho
-
851 clip-ons (Verlicchi)
-
NCR electrics plate
-
Bosch ignition with Dyna 3 ohm coils
-
Custom-built Stadium shock
-
F1 aluminum swing arm with custom, integrated breather box
-
Leoncinni floating rear brake caliper mount
-
Leoncinni rear sets
-
Authentic TT1 Brembo rear master
-
ORS endurance tank and TT1 seat
-
loudbike open NCR replica exhaust
-
loudbike 85db Weber exhaust
-
750 Sport-based bottom end built by Gary Palmer
o 800SS rods
o Lightened clutch basket, clutch housing, primaries, flywheel
o JPrecision heads with NCR #7 cams
o Mofified F1 pistons (12.5:1 compression)
o Spider clutch cover (one of 6 made)
o Mikuni TM Pro-series flat slides
o Mikuni vacuum fuel pump
o Modified ORS cam covers
o Magnesium rocker covers
o Dyno-tuned to 88hp, 56ftlbs torque
The whole thing is held together with over $900 in titanium and aluminum fasteners.
The bike is a highly-developed example of an old-school TT1 - works brilliantly on the track and handles better than any F1 with a stock frame. Push the starter button and go fast. It even idles.
