How CRASHLIGHT works

With CRASHLIGHT, you choose your safety team

Reassure your loved ones. CRASHLIGHT automatically detects a crash and makes a recorded call, pushes a text message and sends email to three of your selected contacts in the event of an emergency. Only your selected contacts are notified with a your location. Your contacts can then make a call with lifesaving information or take action.

Subscribe to CRASHLIGHT

Get your annual subscription to CRASHLIGHT in-app for iOS and Android. To subscribe, go to Go Ride and hit the CRASHLIGHT button. The service is available planet-wide. Prices are adjusted by country and currency.

Turn CRASHLIGHT On

To turn CRASHLIGHT on, tap the CRASHLIGHT button in-app, then switch the slider in the top right to green.

You must be recording a ride to engage CRASHLIGHT. Recording a ride with CRASHLIGHT turned off, will not detect a crash.

When in doubt about the terrain, adjust the sensitivity Modes for the type of riding you're doing. Set the Mode to "High" when riding normally. "Medium" when you're carrying the device on the handle bars or "Low" when riding dirt or exposing the device to excessive vibration. Choose to turn CRASHLIGHT off to avoid an escalation entirely.

When CRASHLIGHT is on, the button is shown in a blue color. When you're subscribed, but CRASHLIGHT is turned off, you'll see it in red.

Record your ride

CRASHLIGHT works when the ESR app is opened on your device and you are recording a ride. When you are not recording a ride, CRASHLIGHT can not detect a crash. A crash can be detected only when a ride is being recorded.

Connect to an active cellular and data network

CRASHLIGHT uses the cellular and data networks to make a call and send notifications on your behalf. Emergency notifications can't be escalated without a cellular and data network. However, when CRASHLIGHT is activated in a weak coverage area, it automatically repeats connection attempts until notifications are sent successfully.

Location Services are turned on and you have a GPS lock

CRASHLIGHT requires GPS lock to know your exact location and speed, which is necessary to detect a crash. Make sure your location services are turned on and you have a GPS lock.
