Yes, it was a four cylinder. It was never meant for really tight road work, which was fine with me because those roads are few and far between around here. It was a good sized, heavy bike like a lot of the first generation Triumphs out of Hinckley. The motor was a little temperamental around town, but when you got on freeway or the open road, it loved to run at higher rpms. Open the throttle at 6000 rpm and it just launched. It was more of a big sport tourer than anything. I believe Triumph was aiming at the ZX-10, just to make a point about the new Triumph.

That's the four cylinder right? I've never come across a 4-cylinder Triumph. How did it handle?
