Street Glide 2014

Harley Davidson Street Glide FLHX (2014) - Black

Perhaps the mainstay of Harley's touring line, the Street Glide has undergone some major changes for 2014, many as a result of Project Rushmore.

One of the most noticeable difference in the 2014 Street Glide is the batwing, which along with the new dual halogen headlight supports a vent to reduce wind buffeting at speed.

Inside the batwing, things are no less radical. An entirely new entertainment system, the Boombox! 4.3 offer the jukebox one-touch access media compartment, complete with USB outlet. You can now plug your media player in and control it directly from the handlebar mounted controls. Cruise control is standard.

Single latch, one-hand access panniers are new. One touch access, carries over to the fuel tank and vents as well.

Mechanically, the high output 103cu inch (1690cc) engine is more powerful and offers more torque. In part, this is due to the new high flow air intake and updated cams. Fuel injection controlled through the new fly by wire throttle.

Engine heat is also improved through an oil cooler and the EITMS system, which shuts off the rear cylinder at idle.

Weight is 820lbs wet. The Street Glide comes equipped with four-piston Brembo's at front and rear. Linked ABS is standard.

Starting at CDN $23,289 / US $20,399, there will be plenty of options for customization.
