BMW S1000RR 2012

Best liter bike that I've ever ridden.  These BMWs are both charismatic and outrageously powerful with their 193+ horsepower.   But what made me jump from being a long time Ninja owner to BMW fan was a few days of riding on them at the California Superbike School.  Great training on a simply an AMAZING bike. Trade magazines will sign it praise for its strong engine, solid electronics, great ergonomics, etc … and it does have all of those... but what they leave out is that is probably one of the easiest bikes to ride that will allow you to safely improve you riding skills.

Favorite Stock Feature = Besides the nimbleness or its stomach-dropping acceleration there are many fun features to choose from.  For myself, it continues to be the unexpected stock heated grips that found their way onto this superbike... who wouldn't love an extended Midwest riding season?

Least Favorite Feature = Upper frame rails tend to run HOT when stuck in traffic.

My Aftermarket Additions = Sato Racing Rearset, CRG Levels, Shorai LiFePO4, DynoJet PCV, A freaking loud (borderline obnoxious) Akro full racing exhaust w/shorty, HID headlights, LED turn signals, Ilmberger CF belleypan, Hotbodies Undertail,

The air vents look like the gills on a very fast, very angry, very hungry street shark.
