Kawartha to Haliburton Hwy 507 - North Ontario
Distance: 61.7 Km / 38.5 Mi Duration: 00:50:59
I learned today I was a 'leafer'. That's what you call people out riding looking to catch the leaves in their splendor, changing color in the Autumn. OK we're not alone.
Autumn Ride
This route along 507 is quite good where there's rarely a straight section. It's Thanks Giving weekend up here in Canada and yesterday was sunny and warm.
Lots of motorcycles out on this glorious weather ride along twisty roads with the leaves falling lyrically as I lean into the turns.
Harley and Honda riders
Somehow, my right mirror was loose and I couldn't use it. At the end of the route on Hwy 118 is a gas station where I knew I'd find a bunch of bikers. One of the Harley riders had the right wrench to tighten up my Triumph mirror - which ironically, I didn't. Thank you Harley man!
From Harley to Triumph
Once we all got talking, we started jumping on each other's bikes.

On the way back we stopped in for a late lunch and home made beef jerky at Hali's Cafe in Haliburton.
I spotted these two overland riders. Unfortunately no idea where they came from or where they're going but envious just the same.
