Yellowknife to Hay River

This "quick run" takes you end-to-end of Great Slave Lake shoreline which is home to half of the population and host to many cool communities. It's the second largest lake entirely within Canadian borders, the fifth largest in North America, and the tenth largest in the world. Take a moment or two and enjoy McNallie Creek, quite a lovely place for a break and camping. You get ribbons of road, void of traffic that usher you through vast landscapes with scenic boreal forests, breathtaking waterfalls, mountains, plains and valleys. Find countless places to camp, fish, view wildlife, canoe, pick berries, take a photo or a hike. Just remember to watch for fuel stops and plan accordingly!
