The Arc Vector looks to combine true future tech with Motorcycle riding

The Arc Vector, at this stage a prototype bike still in development, is currently looking like it will reach its investment goal, meaning it may soon see production. The question now is what are Arc Vehicles doing any different with their bike compared to any other electric motorcycle?

Arc have introduced something called Human Machine Interfacing, or HMI for short. What this means is the Vector will connect with the Arc branded and produced helmet and jacket which are equipped with a heads up display and full-on haptic system which can provide the rider with feedback on their riding in real time. The helmets heads up display, which has been touted as "being similar to a fighter pilots system", will show pertinent information to the rider, such as current speed and distance traveled, as well as feedback and notifications about traffic and your own riding. The helmet is also equipped with a rear camera that kicks in when something is detected in your blind spot. It's also voice activated as well as having manual controls on the bike, so that's a plus. The jacket meanwhile, has a haptic feedback system that can perform a variety of functions in its three modes. Urban mode reportedly focuses on safety and surroundings, sports mode works on the bikes position and euphoric mode apparently lets you play music through the haptics, essentially turning your favorite songs into a full body experience.

Not only are the accessories technologically advanced but so too is the bike itself. Weighing 220 kg's, it boasts some pretty impressive specs. A 0-100 km/h of 3.2 seconds, 436 kilometer range, an empty to full charging time of 40 minutes and a top speed of 200 km/h are all pretty serious, especially for a bike designed for road riding. The main drawback of this is the hefty price tag, reportedly somewhere around the lofty mark of $117,000 US dollars. This is probably due to the incredibly limited 399 models being produced, although for this price you get the bike which will be custom made to your size, as well as a custom fitted Arc Zenith Helmet and a custom tailored Arc Origin jacket.

This project has some serious backing already, with Jaguar Motors reportedly investing heavily in the product, so expect to hear more about this bike very soon. To learn more about the Arc Vector visit arcvehicle.com to fully explore the Vector
