Toronto is the only Canadian city on the 2014 AMA Supercross season tour! The 12th-stop on the 17-round AMA Supercross series goes down at the Rogers Centre, Saturday, March 22nd, 2014.

Ticket pick-up is at the Toronto Spring Motorcycle Showhappening this weekend at the International Center, 6900 Airport Road.

What is Supercross?
Supercross involves indoor man-made race courses constructed on the floors of baseball and football stadiums. The race tracks are extremely technical, designed to showcase big jumps, whoops, tabletops and other obstacles that place a premium on the rider's acrobatic skill, timing and all-out courage.
Supercross features two classes and displacement ranges. In the 250 Supercross class, racers may run a four-stroke engine no larger than 250cc in displacement. The 250 class season is divided into two regional series, East and West. Each region consists of nine rounds, concluding in Las Vegas, NV, with the Davey Coombs Sr. East-West shootout. The Supercross class allows four-stroke engines no larger than 450cc, and competes in all 17 rounds of the series.
Each event is structured the same with timed qualifying practices during the day, two heat races, a consolation race and main event in each class. Each heat race is eight laps for the 450 class and six laps for the 250 class, with the top nine riders advancing to the main event. i've been to this event before and it was outstanding! I have a little boy who i plan to get onto a dirtbike this summer as I was dirt riding since i was 10. Nothing like a Supercross to get him all geared up to hit the dirt himself!

I have been riding for a long time and yet never experienced such a show. I'd dig attending and taking some good shots of the action if I can. 🙂

Touchy iPhone screen. I grew up riding mx in California, and I've created advertising and branding for dozens of mx companies. I also produced MX Rider magazine with my good friend Lee Radder, RIP. I knew so many of today's stars when they were kids. I think if I could get a pit pass, I would have a great opportunity to spread the word if ESR to many people in this traveling circus that I love so much.

I also have two road bikes and it is time to get on off-road ride. I still have memories (and envy) from watching other kids roar around on their Suzuki RM80s and RM125s while my dad wouldn't even let me get a Honda Z50 mini-trail. Time to right a boyhood wrong!! Thanks! See you at the show!
