Take Idaho-34 along the Pioneer Byway or, as it was previously known, the Tin Cup Pass. Start at Soda Springs, a city that owes it name to the hundreds of natural springs of carbonated water in the area.

It's quite likely that you find the road all to yourself. This motorcycle route is little travelled and runs north east from Idaho to Yellowstone National Park with a good mix of insane twisties, elevation changes and a nice and a peaceful vista of the tranquil wheat fields, Aspen trees and canyons along the road.

Only 12 miles after leaving Soda Springs you'll be climbing up and down, accompanied with series of blind insane corners.

ID-34 ends at a T-intersection, from here you should turn left onto State Line Road (WYO-89). As soon as you reach a stop sign, turn right and you'll be on your way to Yellowstone National Park.

You'll find gas stations at Soda Springs and Alpine Junction in Wyoming. Beware of the cattle than can be sometimes found wandering the first portion of the road at Soda Springs!

Yellowstone National Park was the first national park in the world. With an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2) and a vast ecosystem, Yellowstone is the home of hundreds of species of mammals, birds, reptiles and very unique species of plants, and is the most famous megafauna location in the United States. Don't miss a visit to the Old Faithful geyser (Center Loop Road, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190, +1 307-344-7381). You'll may need to wait 35-120 minutes to see it erupt, it's not the highest but its the most regular and it's worth waiting for.
