As I am wondering the isles of the Toronto Motorcycle show, I stumble upon the booth for the B.A.D Ride. Immediately I stop. I have seen this poster up at the Distress Centre where I volunteer. The one day charity ride started 15 years ago with 100% of the proceeds raised going to the Distress Centres. Today at the TMS you can buy a t-shirt or badge to support the cause. At their booth, or online at their website, you can grab a donation ride form so you can start fundraising now. The ride may not be until May 27, but your friends might be in the holiday spirit now. Not only will you have a great day, but one fortunate rider will win a 2012 Harley-Davidson Switchback.
Since 1967, Distress Centres has been providing an around-the-clock emotional safety net for comÂmunity members who are socially marginalized, distressed, in crisis, victims of violence or suicidal.
