Unique 3-Wheeled Design

Front, back, side ... there's plenty of options when designing a three-wheeled vehicle, but in-between? It's certainly unique, but I'm not sure I understand the mechanical advantage. I guess that's why we never heard much more about this 2009 design from Paris-based designer Julien Rondinaud.
