Australia - An all terrain Motorcycle ride from Sydney to Perth in 4585 KM: ride it in 2 or 12 days

Spectacular riding from coast to coast of Australia. A motorcycle route of 4585 KM which can be done in 2 days (if you're a maniac) of continuous riding, or take your time and do it in 12 days with some incredible sight stops.

Start at the beautiful city of Sydney, New South Wales located on the south- eastern shore of Australia on the Tasman Sea and point your motorbike south to Adelaide. While you're in Sydney you may want to stay awhile. It's, after all, ranked among the top global cities of the world and a multicultural city to boot, filled with endless motorcycle shops, tours and clubs to check out. Adelaide is simply a great city where you might even want to take in a pro soccer, cricket, netball or basketball game.

From Adelaide head west around Spencer Gulf to Port Lincoln, South Australia. This is a scenic route along the shores of the Gulf of St. Vincent and Spencer Gulf on the Princess and Lincoln Highways. Not only is Port Lincoln the home to Australia's largest commercial fishing fleet, it's a tourist's haven for yachting, scuba diving, shark cage diving and game fishing.

From Port Lincoln ride over to Esperance it's over 1200 KM of roads through the desert of Nullarbor Plains with many off roading opportunities in between. As you set off for Esperance beware of extreme heat! Bring lots of water! Riding though the Nullarbor Plains, temperatures can go over 50 degrees Celsius. The plains are famous for Australia's longest stretch of straight roads totalling 146.6 KM. Unfortunately, it's the only road to the west, so sit back, relax and take in the sites as you ride by: camels, emus, wombats and kangaroos as far as the eye can see. When you arrive in Esperance you'll want to hit a number of beaches great for surfing and scuba diving. Also check out nearby Cape Le Grand National Park, popular for fishing, atv/motorcycle/off roading and hiking.
