This route takes you intersection to intersection, through lush farmlands of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan.

Start the route in Denton, Texas heading North on North Locust Street (Farm- to-Market 2164) to Lake Ray Roberts. The road is a long straight-a-way with slight turns on low rolling hills. Views of Lake Ray Roberts can be seen in to the North as you approach the next intersection in this route.

From the North Locust Street and Chapman Road (Farm-to-Market 455) intersection

Head West to Forestburg. Chapman Road is a nice long straight-a-way into lush farmlands, there are several turns along the ride. Approximately half way through the 33mile (54km) long section on Chapman Road you will change directions and ride Northwest towards the next intersection in this route.

In the small town of Forestburg there is a biker friendly winery here called Weinhof Winery and with advance notice, they can have cheese/sausage/cracker platters or BBQ luncheons available for your group. For more information on Weinhof Winery see: http://esr.cc/KYAdOa

From Forestburg to the FM677 and Farm-to-Market 373 (FM373) intersection head North, the road here is more curvy then the last road, with long straight-a-ways. Passing through another small town called St. Jo continue on FM677 through more lush farmlands towards the next intersection in this route.

From the FM677 and FM373 intersection to Muenster

You'll ride along the Texas- Oklahoma Border and Red River. Ride Southeast on the curvy FM373 along the border and Red River for approximately 8 miles (13 km) the road changes directions and heads South towards the town of Muenster comprised of 90% German Americans.

The town has an annual festival in April, called Germanfest, which includes lots of beer, BBQ, German food, music, and bike and footraces. A great place to eat is Doc's Bar and Grill at the corner of FM 373 and Hwy 82, it's highly recommended by several riders for their Pretzel Bread Sandwiches. From Muenster to Gainesville

Turn left on US Route 82 heading East on a straight-a-way. Gainesville is a big town known as the "Star of North Texas" for making the finals of Rand McNally and USA Today's "Best of the Road 2012" contest, for determining the most patriotic small town in America http://esr.cc/MJlsPy . From Gainesville loop back to Denton, Texas

Head South onto Interstate 35 heading for 32 miles (52 km) past Lake Ray Roberts. Denton is a suburb of Dallas so be prepared to see some heavy traffic as Interstate 35 runs right through it.
