The Brandon Gap - From Rochester to Brandon to East Middlebury

Start your ride in Rochester, Vermont. The Brandon Gap has a gentle ascent gaining 1,315 feet (401 metres) with a steep1,706 feet (520 metres) on the descent, be cautious of the chicane part way down; the road runs along granite bedrock. Once you near the end of the Brandon Gap turn onto Route 53, then merge onto Route 7 to go North around Lake Dunmore to East Middlebury and the start of Middlebury Gap.
