#Beta #Racing UpdateBeta USA achieved successful results in the National Hare and Hound Series and the AMA EnduroCross Series this past weekend. In EnduroCross, Beta's riders tackled a new venue in Atlanta, Georgia where rocks, logs, and tough obstacles made the event grueling. Photo by Drew Ruiz."The Atlanta EnduroCross course was like the olden days of the sport. It was a brutal 15 lap main on a tough track," says Webb. Webb led part of the main event before falling in a rock corner while battling Taddy. Webb goes on to say, "It's not the final result I wanted after riding so well all day, but my Beta two stroke was running perfect all day and I felt like I had good speed before some stupid mistakes. It's all part of racing however and I need to redeem myself for Denver."Charging through the water pit. Photo by Drew Ruiz.Meanwhile, Max Gerston took his Beta 350 RR to a semi win and a 7th place finish in the main event. Gerston reflects, "Atlanta EnduroCross was one of the tougher EnduroCross races we have had so far this year. The 15 lap main proved to be difficult. My Beta 350 RR was able to take me to an LCQ win and a solid 7th place finish in the main. The course was very tight and technical with rough rocks and a slick matrix. Photo by Drew Ruiz.Beta support rider, Ty Cullins, had his most impressive ride of the year taking the trials and open amateur event wins; an accomplishment for the 15 year old. Cullins says, "The track was really good for me, the rock section was pretty hard and the matrix got really slick from the water and I was able to get through both of them pretty clean."EnduroCross will resume on October 4th in Denver, Colorado.Out west, the National Hare and Hound series resumed this weekend for Round 8. Panaca, Nevada hosted the Mulley Run Hare and Hound. The top ten saw three Beta racers with Axel Pearson taking third, Nick Burson fourth, and Justin Morrow sixth.Axel Pearson's first podium! Photo by Mark Kariya.Axel Pearson grabbed his first podium this weekend after fighting the dust of Skyler Howes throughout the day. Pearson comments, "The race was awesome and I want to thank the Silver State Trailblazers for the fun course! I also can't thank our team enough for all they do to make this happen!"Dusty conditions faced each rider. Photo by Mark Kariya.Nick Burson who has led the championship hunt this year played a safer game at the round after receiving surgery on his hand just four weeks earlier. At times, the strength of his hand held him back but he stayed smart and kept his championship hopes alive."I ended up with a 4th overall and now sit 10 points back in the championship. With all things considered it went pretty well but the racer in me doesn't like losing. I will be back stronger than ever for the last two Nationals and then ISDE!"
