The Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) is a 750-acre, multi-track facility about an hour East of Toronto on Hwy 401. Mosport is recognized as Canada's Home of Motorsports, and has hosted just about every class of road racing on its famed 2.459 mi (3.957 km) circuit, including motorcycles, motocross, Formula 1, IndyCar, sports cars, stock cars, endurance racing, showroom stock, historic vintage racers, ‟Big Rig” trucks and kart racing. It's also a featured stop for the country's top domestic motorsport tours; the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the Canadian Touring Car Championship and the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship.
In addition to the main circuit, The Speedway is a half-mile oval that's home to weekly stock car racing and short track feature events, including the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. The 0.87 mi (1.4 km) Kart Complex is an important proving ground for Canada's kart racing stars of tomorrow. The Driver Development Centre (DDC) including the Bridgestone Racing Academy is a 1.49 mi (2.4 km) advanced driver and race driver training facility, the Academy is regarded as one of North America's top race schools, graduating several of Canada's top racers. During the CSBK race series http://csbk.ca, BMW, Suzuki and Honda often do demo rides in and around Mosport. This motorcycle route is a nice and easy ride to take to get the feel for a new motorbike.
